Coleman College Counseling & Career Coaching

Every client I work with starts the same way with a short, no-pressure conversation. We talk through where you are, what you're hoping for, and whether working together makes sense. There's no obligation, no sales pitch, and no commitment required. Just a conversation between two people trying to figure out the right next step.
What to Expect During the Call
The Discovery Call is a free, 15–20-minute phone conversation. Whether you're a parent navigating the college process with your teenager, a student planning your transfer, a graduate school applicant, a young professional exploring career coaching, or anyone in between who isn't quite sure where to start.
During our call, we'll cover:
• Where you are right now: your situation, your stage, and any immediate concerns
• What you're hoping to accomplish
• Which services might be the right fit for your specific situation
• Any questions you have about how I work, what's included, and what to expect
By the end of the call, you'll have a clear sense of whether working together makes sense, and if it does, exactly where to start. There is no obligation to book a service after the call

Questions
Q: My student is only in 9th grade. Is it too early? It's not, and a Discovery Call is a great way to figure out what, if anything, makes sense right now. There's no pressure to start a full service. Sometimes a single session is all a family needs at this stage.
Q: We're already in the middle of senior year. Is it too late? It's not too late. I work with families at every point in senior year, including families who reach out in October or November when deadlines are close. Reach out today.
"I'm a transfer student. Is this service right for me?" Absolutely. I work with community college students planning to transfer to a UC, CSU, or private university, and with students transferring from one four-year institution to another. The transfer process is complex, and the details matter, which is exactly why having support makes such a meaningful difference.
Q: I'm applying to graduate school. Do you work with graduate applicants? Yes, I work with students applying to Master's programs, PhD programs, and professional programs, including MD, JD, PsyD, PA, and others. A Discovery Call is the right place to figure out whether my services are a good fit for your specific programs and timeline.
Q: I'm looking for career coaching. Is that different from college counseling? It is, and it's a full service I offer. Whether you're a college student figuring out your major and first career steps or a young professional reconsidering your direction, career coaching starts the same way every other service does — with a Discovery Call to figure out what you need and what the right plan looks like.
Q: I'm not sure we can afford it. Payment plans are always available, and services range from a single strategy session to comprehensive multi-year packages. A Discovery Call is the right place to figure out what fits your budget without any pressure to commit to anything.
Q: Do you work virtually? Yes. Virtual meetings allow students and families flexibility while still creating personalized and highly supportive guidance throughout the process.
I'm glad you found me.
Whether your student is just starting high school or finishing their senior applications, planning a transfer, preparing for graduate school, or figuring out their first career steps, this is exactly the kind of work I love doing. Every path is different, and I'd be honored to be part of yours.
